Hilda Scullion

Assistant Manager

Read Biography

I have been the Assistant Manager at St. Marks since October 2016 and have worked for the Company since January 2012.

I developed my management skills whilst living in my home country of Zimbabwe. I had not worked in Social Care before I moved to the UK, and have since found that I really love it. I have completed my Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and Level 3 in Management and Leadership.

My particular passion is the Positive Behaviour Support environment that we provide for our Service Users. I have had the opportunity to attend an exciting prototype workshop as part of a Managers CPD Programme called Delivering Positive & Proactive Care. This gave me an opportunity to develop some great PBS resources which combined with my BILD’s PBS practitioner course, gives me excellent tools for sharing and implementing PBS with the rest of the team.

Read Biography

I am the Company’s Group Home Manager overseeing all of our specialist services.

I have been with the Company since 2002, and have been working with Adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health for 24 years.

I am a qualified trainer and enjoy delivering person centred training wherever possible. In 2017, I worked alongside Gary Lavigna (Co-founder of the Institute of Applied Behaviour Analysis) and completed my Applied Behaviour Analysis and Assessment. In addition to this I also completed the Analysis of Severe and Challenging Behaviour. In February 2018, I completed a Positive and Proactive Care Managers Programme which enabled the company to review our current Positive Behaviour Support Focus. I have also recently completed the British Institute of Learning Disabilities Positive Behaviour Support Coaching programme in May 2018.

I enjoy a very close working relationship with the Partners and work with them on a day-to-day basis to offer the best level of care possible. I really enjoy seeing our Service Users reach their full potential and am passionate about assisting them to achieve their goals.
